Bicyclist killed in early morning Elk Grove accident

Just after 6:30 am this morning an accident between a vehicle and a bicyclist has claimed the life of the bicyclist. Cosumnes Fire and Elk Grove Police responded to the accident that took place near westbound Laguna Blvd and Haussmann Street. The victim was transported to the hospital but did not survive the accident. Two lanes of westbound Laguna Blvd will remain closed for several hours as Elk Grove police investigate the accident.
