Three residents file for vacant 4th district council opening

 

 

With just over two weeks left in the filing period, only three residents have stepped forward to be considered for the vacant 4th district Elk Grove City Council seat. The position became vacant when City Councilman Steve Ly ran for Mayor and won. The three residents are:

 

 

At a meeting on December 14 the City Council voted to appoint a new councilperson rather than have a special election. Residents residing the 4th district are eligible to apply. The deadline is January 18. In addition to the city council vacancy there are also vacancies on the Planning Commission, Multicultural Committee, Historic Preservation Committee. All the information on the vacancies can be found on the city website,
