Suspects arrested in robbery of Elk Grove Jamba Juice

Shortly after 8:30 pm last two suspects robbed the Jamba Juice near the Home Depot in Elk Grove. The suspects fled the scene, on West Stockton north of Home Depot. Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the CHP, EGPD, Sacramento Sheriff, helicopter and Sacramento Police converged on the area and set up a perimeter. Two suspects were located. An EGPD K9 was shot in the leg by the suspects. The K9’s officer returned fire striking both suspects. Both were arrested and taken to a local hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries. The K9 also suffered non life threatening injuries and is expected to be okay.

Shortly after 11 pm last night a loaded handgun was found in a field near West Stockton Blvd and Dunisch Road. The area was closed while police investigated the shooting.  We will update with more information as it becomes available.
