Rare albino deer spotted near Elk Grove

The deer was spotted in area near the Sacramento Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant known as the “Bufferlands”.  The SWRTP has a trail cam and regularly shares images on it’s Facebook page from the camera.

The Bufferlands is an area of 2150 acres that surrounds the plant.  The area is home to coyotes, skunks, beavers, hawks and more recently deer. The area is not open to the public but they do offer tours on their website.
