S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was operating a motor vehicle that drove through a parking lot then made a turn onto a city street without signaling. The officer observed S-1 park the vehicle he was driving then exit. An officer contacted S-1 while he was next to the vehicle. Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment and was arrested.

Suspect #2: WILLIAMS, RONALD (BMA, 32, ARRESTED)

S-1 (Sacramento resident) entered the above business and submitted a stolen prescription to the pharmacy in the name of another person. The pharmacist recognized that the prescription was stolen and contacted EGPD. When officers arrived and attempted to contact S-1, she fled from the store with her 9-year-old daughter. Officers located S-1 outside of the business and attempted to detain her. S-1 refused to comply with instruction when contacted. While the officers were attempting to detain S-1, S-2 (Sacramento resident) began interfering with the officers who were attempting to detain S-1. S-2 was detained and was found to be associated with S-1. During their investigation, officers determined that the S-1 had left her two other children, ages 11 and 5, alone at a residence in Sacramento. The Sacramento Sheriff`s Department responded to the residence and confirmed that both children were left without adult supervision. Both suspects were arrested then transported to the main jail. The three children were later turned over to Child Protective Services (CPS).
