Elk Grove Police arrest 3 in illegal pot growing operation

Friday afternoon around 3:45 pm Elk Grove police stopped 52 year old Ruitai Liu for a vehicle code violation.  Liu was on probation. A search of his house turned up 250 marijuana plants and evidence of sales.  Two others at the residence, 49 year old Hui Jiang and 25 year old Zhijin Liu were also arrested. The vehicle stop took place near Lewis Stein and Sheldon Road. The home is located in the 8200 block of Toad Hollow Way.
