Suspect #1:  RUSS, CHRISTOPHER (WMA, 27, ARRESTED)
Suspect #2:  RUSS, SHANE (WMA, 21, ARRESTED)

S-1 (Marysville resident) and S-2 (Olivehurst resident) were observed shoplifting while inside the Nugget Market. When the suspects exited the store without paying for the merchandise, they were approached by a security guard and another employee. S-2 fled on foot when the security guard attempted to detain him. While the employees were attempting to detain S-2, S-1 ran towards the security guard and attempted to assault him with a glass bottle. The security guard was not injured. Both suspects were able to get away from the employees and EGPD was contacted. Responding officers located and detained the suspects a short distance away. The suspects were positively identified as being responsible for the theft. Both suspects were arrested then transported to the main jail.
