From the Elk Grove Police Department Daily Watch Summary:

Officers responded to the above location regarding two subjects who were observed breaking into parked vehicles in the parking lot. When officers arrived, they observed S-1 (Sacramento resident) and S-2 (Richmond resident), who matched the descriptions of the burglary suspects, leaving the area in a black SUV. When officers attempted to conduct an enforcement stop, the vehicle did not yield and led officers on a pursuit. The pursuit traveled eastbound towards HWY 99 where the suspect vehicle was involved in a collision with another vehicle. The suspects did not stop and continued to drive southbound on HWY 99 as officers continued to pursue them. The suspects did not yield to law enforcement and began making evasive maneuvers in an attempt to evade law enforcement. The suspect vehicle accelerated to over 100 MPH during the pursuit. EGPD officers terminated their involvement in the pursuit when the vehicle reached Arno Rd. The suspect vehicle exited the freeway in Galt where Galt PD initiated a pursuit. Galt PD terminated their involvement once the suspect vehicle got back on southbound HWY 99.  CHP Air and ground units picked up the suspect vehicle near Stockton when the vehicle began travelling northbound on HWY 99.  CHP pursed the vehicle until the suspect vehicle stopped in a residential neighborhood in South Sacramento. Both suspects fled on foot after abandoning their vehicle. S-1 (driver) was located and detained by CHP and SSD. S-2 (passenger) was located and detained by CHP. While driving through the City of Galt, the suspects discarded property that had been stolen during the vehicle burglary. Officers also located additional property inside the vehicle that had been taken during another vehicle burglary. EGPD officers took custody of both suspects and transported them to EGPD. The suspects were processed then later transported to the main jail.
