Big Day of Giving May 4, 2017

 

Coming up on May 4, is the annual Big Day of Giving.  It’s a 24 hour period where all the local non profits get together for one big fundraising drive.  Elk Grove has a number of non profits that will be participating in the event. To make it easier for everyone we have a list below. You can click on the name and you can get more information about each one. You can see their financial information, their programs, who is in charge and more. Then on May 4th, you can make a donation right on that page to the ones you choose.

Description: Presentations by elected officials, fun interactive elements, light refreshments, live leaderboard showing the fundraising totals for Elk Grove-based nonprofits and demonstrations of Project RIDE’s therapeutic horseback riding program are all in store for you. See Teen Idol singers, Strauss Festival dancers, the new Teen Center mobile unit and more. Free goodie bags to Big Day of Giving donors while supplies last. Admission to the open house is free.

Description: The Elk Grove Historical Society’s Heritage Park and Museum will be open on May 4th from 8 AM to 5 PM for self-guided tours and for giving to the Elk Grove Historical Society.  A complimentary glass of wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served in the Men’s Parlor and Dining Room. For those donating at least $25, they will receive gift certificates for a free Gilly’s Car Wash ($16 value) and a free bottle of Beau Vantage Cabernet Sauvignon wine ($12 value).  Gift certificates will be mailed out after the May 4th event.
