Elk Grove police arrest teen for brandishing a handgun

 

On Tuesday afternoon Elk Grove police detectives and a SWAT team served a search warrant on a home in the 9300 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road for a crime that occurred a week ago. On April 19th at 8:30 PM, officers received a call of a gun being brandished at 8750 Elk Grove Blvd, Taco Bell.  The victim reported that they were standing in line at Taco Bell when the subject, who was standing behind them, started to use foul language.  The victim made a comment regarding the juvenile’s foul language prior to leaving the restaurant.  As the victim got into their car the subject went over to a vehicle and retrieved a black handgun.  This subject proceeded to point the gun at the victim as the subject drove away.  An investigation was conducted and a search warrant was served at the residence where the subject resided.  The gun was recovered and the subject, a 15 year old Hispanic male was arrested and booked into juvenile hall. The gun was determined to be a pellet gun.
