Two shot and killed at South Sac strip mall

Two teens were shot and killed this afternoon at a strip mall near the corner of Stockton Blvd and Fruitridge Road. The two were shot in the parking lot of the South Area Market.  According to the FOX40 video, the two were brothers, 16 and 18. The Sacramento Sheriff Department is investigating. The suspect(s) are believed to have fled the scene in a light colored SUV towards highway 99. Witnesses say they saw more than one person in the SUV. The shooting happened around 12 pm at the busy shopping center.

Shortly after 4:30 pm, Sacramento Police surrounded a home Rotella Drive that may be related to the earlier shooting. No word yet on if police arrested any suspects.
