2 men charged with Elk Grove mail theft

On May 12, Elk Grove police arrested two Sacramento men for possession of a controlled substance while on probation. An alert neighbor had seen the men taking mail from a mailbox on Nestani Way and called police.  On Monday the US Postal Service filed a criminal complaint against the two men, Billee Vang 26, and Dang Vue 27, both of Sacramento. The men are charged with 29 counts of bank fraud and identity theft. The men stole locks from postal boxes and used them to create master keys which enabled them to open the large cluster mailboxes. The crimes took place over a 5 month period from January until their arrest on May 12.
