Elk Grove man arrested for DUI, resisting arrest after rollover accident on Whitelock Parkway

 

 

An Elk Grove man was arresting after the car he was driving was involved in an accident on Whitelock Parkway around 7:45 pm on Monday night. 19 year old Douglas Sykes was arrested at the scene. According to police he displayed signs of impairment. The car Sykes was driving was involved in an accident in which one of the vehicles rolled over.  When officers attempted to detain Sykes, he resisted and had to be restrained using the WRAP system. After being medically cleared at the hospital, he was taken to the county jail.

Sykes was charged with the following:

PC 422 Felony
THREATS TO COMMIT CRIME RESULTING IN DEATH OR GBI
PC 148(A)(1) Misdemeanor
RESISTING OR OBSTRUCTING PUBLIC/PEACE OFFICER/ER TECHNICIAN
VC 23140(B) Misdemeanor
JUVENILE DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Bail: $25,000.00
Total Bail $25,000.00
