High speed chase ends in Elk Grove

A high speed chase that started in Sacramento, ended in Elk Grove early this morning.  Sacramento Police Department officers pursued a suspect in a red Honda down eastbound Laguna Blvd, where he eventually crashed into the landscaping on the corner of Big Horn Blvd and Laguna Blvd. Elk Grove Police officers assisted in the pursuit as it came through Elk Grove. After the crash, the suspect fled on foot where he was quickly apprehended by officers in the Sprouts parking lot.  The suspect suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.  No word yet on why the suspect was being chased by police as this time.

This marks the third weekend in a row that a high speed chase has come through Elk Grove. Two weeks ago a carjacking in South Sacramento led to a robbery spree and high speed chase when the suspects came through Elk Grove and crashed near the Safeway on Calvine Road. Last Saturday, the US Bank on the corner of Laguna Blvd and Franklin Blvd was robbed. Officers chased the suspects down Elk Grove Blvd where they crashed near Walmart and 99.  In all 3 incidents, all the suspects were captured.

We should build a beautiful wall and make Sacramento pay for it.
