Elk Grove Police ask for help finding burglary suspect




ELK GROVE, CA – The Elk Grove Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying and locating the person responsible for a residential robbery.


On August 16, 2017, at approximately 6:30a.m., the suspect (pictured below) entered a residence located on Hawley Way through an open garage door. Once inside the residence, the unidentified suspect took personal property from a nearby counter located in the kitchen. The homeowner was inside the residence during the robbery and confronted the suspect. When the suspect was confronted, he walked past the homeowner and grabbed additional property. The suspect then exited the residence and fled in an unknown direction.


The suspect was described as an African-American male, 20’s to 30’s, five feet ten inches tall (5’10”) with a thin build (140 lbs). The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white writing on the front and back, a white t-shirt, black pants and black shoes with white trim. The suspect was also wearing yellow and blue gloves.


Anyone with information regarding this residential robbery is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Detective Bureau at (916) 478-8060 or the Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357). Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00. Tips can also be sent via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on a cell phone, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message.
