Elk Grove man arrested on charges of prostitution and assault

 

 

On Wednesday Elk Grove Police arrested 27 year old Anthony Carter on charges of robbery, assault and holding a victim against her will for the purposes of prostitution.

 

The arrest took place at the 9600 block of Melrose Ave around 12:45 pm. Officers responded to call for service. Officers learned that Carter took the victim’s purse and struck her in the head with a bottle.  They also determined the woman was being held against her will for the purposes of prostitution.  Carter was arrested and transported to the county jail where he is being held without bail
