Elk Grove police arrested three people and recovered three stolen cars in two incidents late Tuesday night.
The first incident took place in the East Elk Grove Elk Grove area around 8:40 pm. Officers responded to a call for a stolen car along with a suspect vehicle description in the 8900 block of Grantline Road. When officers arrived they found the stolen vehicle that was unoccupied. Officers also located the suspect vehicle nearby. Two suspects, Salena Wood, 24, from Colfax and Christopher St. Charles, 34, of Sacramento, were located and detained nearby. Officers determined that the suspect vehicle was also reported stolen. A search of the suspect vehicle led to the discovery of controlled substances, ammunition and a reported stolen laptop computer.

The second incident occurred around 9:15 pm. Officers stopped a vehicle driven by Jacob McPherson, 30, of Sacramento for a vehicle code violation. A check of the car revealed it was stolen. The license plates were also stolen. Burglary tools were found in the vehicle.
