Elk Grove police apprehend man that ran into elementary school

 

The following is a statement from the Elk Grove police department regarding an incident at Foulks Ranch elementary school 

 

Officers responded to a call for service regarding a child wandering around with no adult around. The child was seen going into a residence in the 9300 block of Foulks Ranch Dr. When officers made contact at the residence, a subject exited the rear of the residence. The subject was identified by officers on scene. A records check revealed the subject to be on probation. Responding officers arrived in the area and the suspect starting running from the officers. The suspect ran through an open gate onto the school grounds of Foulks Ranch Elementary School. Officers requested a lockdown of the school and within approximately one minute, officers had apprehended the suspect. The suspect was arrested and then transported the main jail.
