Location: 5000 block of Laguna Blvd.
Suspect: ASHFORD, VANESSA (BFA, 54, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) was observed shoplifting by store employees. S-1 exited the store without paying for the merchandise and left in a vehicle. Responding officers located a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle and conducted a vehicle stop. Upon contact, S-1 was a passenger in the vehicle. A records check revealed S-1 to be on parole. A search of S-1’s vehicle led to the discovery of the stolen merchandise. A search of S-1’s person led to the discovery of narcotic paraphernalia. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Citrus Heights resident) was contacted in a parked vehicle. A records check revealed S-1 had an active warrant out for his arrest. A search of S-1’s vehicle led to the discovery of a controlled substance and narcotic paraphernalia. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Sacramento resident) was arrested for trespassing and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) struck V-1 with a cable cord on the legs leaving visible injuries while S-2 was present and instructed S-1 how to cause more pain. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered V-2 had been a victim of similar acts. Both suspects were arrested and then transported to the main jail. Both victims were placed into protective custody.
