Elk Grove police responded to two separate incidents of victims being robbed on Friday night near Elk Grove Park. In both cases the suspects fled and were not caught.
The first incident took place around 8:48 pm in the 9900 block of Elk Grove – Florin Road. The victim was walking when he was approached by three suspects. The victim tried to runaway, but was tripped by one of the suspects. The suspects then tried to rob the victim. A witness confronted the suspects causing all three suspects to flee the area on foot. Suspect # 1 was described as an African American male, 15-18 years old, 5’8”, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, and black jeans. Suspect #2 was described as an African American male, 15-18 years old, approximately 5’8”, wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans. Suspect #3 was only described as an African American male.
Approximately 20 minutes later, at around 9:10, another victim was walking in the same vicinity and was approached by two suspects. They demanded the victim’s property and then one of the suspects (suspect #2) punched him. The other suspect (suspect #1) then pulled up his shirt revealing a handgun. The victim then gave the suspects his property. Both suspects then fled on foot. Suspect #1 was described as an African American male, 15-16 years old, 6’0”, wearing a black t-shirt, and blue jeans. Suspect #2 was described as an African American male, 17 years old, approximately 5’10”, and wearing a white collared shirt with red and blue stripes.
