Sacramento Coroner identified Elk Grove woman killed in Thursday night’s accident


The Sacramento County Coroner has identified the woman killed in last night’s accident as 62 year old Tracy Emison of Elk Grove.


Emison was killed in a single car accident in Elk Grove on Thursday night.  The accident happened around 8:30 pm near the intersection of Whitelock Parkway and Franklin Blvd. The Elk Grove Police Department was investigating the accident.  The roadway was closed for several hours. According to police, the driver was an adult female and was the only occupant in the vehicle.  Several good samaritans posted on social media sites that they arrived at the accident scene and attempted to render aid to the victim.

ELK GROVE, CA – On July 26, 2018 at 8:28 p.m., the Elk Grove Police Department responded to a single vehicle collision on Willard Parkway, just south of Whitelock Parkway.


Upon arrival, officers discovered that a 2012 Nissan Murano had been involved in a single vehicle collision. The driver was contacted at the scene and found to be unconscious. She was transported to a local area hospital where she was later pronounced deceased. Identification of the deceased will be made by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.


Based on information obtained during the investigation, traffic investigators have determined that the driver of the Nissan Murano was traveling northbound on Franklin Boulevard approaching Willard Parkway when she lost control of the vehicle, traveled over a large gore and crossed over southbound Willard Parkway striking a tree in the center median. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
