The magic of Elk Grove’s Strauss Festival returns this week for its annual 4 day run. The festival started on Thursday night at Elk Grove Regional Park and continues until Sunday night. This marks the 31st year of the Strauss Festival that was founded by Arnie and Iris Zimbelman in 1987. The festival features the music of Johann Strauss, famous musical composer from Austria.
This year’s show is called “Postcards from the Grand Tour” and will showcase music from France, Italy, Russia, England, USA, Germany and Austria. Amazing costumes, singing and dancing highlight this year’s show.
The night begins at 7:30 pm with the dancer promenade, with showtime starting at 8:15 pm. The show itself is free. Parking is $10. Immediately following the conclusion, there is a fireworks show.
