High School football wrap up for week 1


Elk Grove area high schools had a tough first week, finishing 3-7, with two of the wins coming against other Elk Grove district schools.


Bradshaw Christian defeated visiting Salesian College Prep 36-30 in overtime

Capital Christian scored 40 unanswered points to erase an early 16 point deficit and defeat Cosumnes Oaks, 47-39

Elk Grove traveled to Natomas to play Inderkum and lost 37-13.

Rosemont shut out Florin 47-0 at home

Franklin hit the road to Stockton to take on McNair, defeating them 38-23

Valley defeated district rival Laguna Creek, 25-13.

Monterey Trail played host to nearby Sheldon, easily defeating them 41-6, after Sheldon had scored the game’s first touchdown.

Pleasant Grove was no match for the visiting Placer Hillmen who took a 41-7 halftime lead and cruised to a 48-21 victory
