Earlier this morning Elk Grove police responded to a call on Starfall Way in the North Camden area of Elk Grove. A victim was robbed at knifepoint, and stabbed several times in the arm.
Elk Grove Police provided the following statement on the incident:
Home surveillance video was captured from the victim’s residence along with three additional neighbor’s surveillance video, which helped identify the suspect’s vehicle and his approach to the victim. The victim had just arrived home arrived home after returning from a casino located in downtown Sacramento. The suspect followed the victim home from the casino and then used a knife to forcefully take a large sum of cash from the victim. The victim sustained multiple stab wounds to his right arm and later transported himself to a local hospital for treatment. Video surveillance from the casino was used to identify the suspect who was determined to be a 58-year-old male on parole out of the state of Tennessee who had relocated to Sacramento.
With the assistance of the Capitol District South Sacramento Parole Office, Elk Grove Police investigators were able to locate and take the suspect into custody. The suspect was identified as Richard Bullock and will be booked into custody this afternoon at the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Main Jail.
