Elk Grove Police looking for missing 14 year old girl


ELK GROVE, CA – The Elk Grove Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating an at-risk missing juvenile, 14-year-old Melody Plath (photo attached).

Melody ran away from home on Sunday, March 24, 2019, around 1:45 in the afternoon after an argument with her parents. Melody was last seen yesterday in the 9100 block of Waterman Road.  Melody is believed to be with her 15-year-old boyfriend. Melody Plath is considered at risk due to her age and requires prescription medication that she did not take with her for her mental health.

Melody is described as a Caucasian female juvenile, 5’6″, 110 lbs., with long brown hair and blue eyes. She has braces with teal colored rubber bands. She was last seen wearing a gray Champion brand shirt, gray sweatpants, and pink furry slides. She may be in carrying a white backpack as well. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Melody Plath is asked to contact the Elk Grove Police Department Dispatch Center at (916) 691-5246.
