Three men arrested in Elk Grove home invasion robbery

Elk Grove Police officers arrested three men involved with a home invasion robbery on Tuesday afternoon. Officers received a call of a burglary in progress in the 7200 block of Campania Court. Three suspects were reported to have broke into a neighbor’s house. The neighbor was home, but fled the home when the suspects arrived.

The caller alerted police that he had armed himself with a golf club and confronted the three suspects. During the confrontation, the caller hit one of the suspects with a golf club causing injuries to the suspect. One of the suspects attempted to choke the caller. During the altercation the caller was stabbed twice, received non life threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The caller alerted police that the suspects were armed.

When officers arrived they saw the three suspects walking near Bellaterra Drive and Tarzo Way. Two suspects fled, 21-year-old Ivory Spratt and 19-year-old Zamir Alshabazz. The third suspect, 20-year-old Kymon Anderson, was taken into custody. Officers located and detained Spratt and Alshabazz. Alshabazz was in possession of property taken from the home. Alshabazz was also injured in the confrontation with the caller. He was treated at a nearby hospital. Officers located a pellet gun in the area that closely resembled a real gun.

Spratt was arrested for attempted murder, home invasion, assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy, resisting or obstructing arrest as well as a parole violation.

Alshabazz was arrested for attempted murder, home invasion, assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy, and resisting or obstructing arrest.

Anderson was arrested attempted murder, home invasion, assault with a deadly weapon, and conspiracy.
