Delivery truck driver robbed of packages in Elk Grove

A delivery truck driver was robbed of his packages on Wednesday morning. The incident took place around 11:30 am in the 9100 block of West Stockton Blvd. Elk Grove Police said it happened in the parking lot of the shopping center on the Northwest corner of the intersection with Laguna Blvd.

The driver was unloading packages onto a cart when two suspects ran up, pushed the driver out of the way and stole packages, then fled in a vehicle. A third suspect ran up and stole more packages and fled to a vehicle driven by a fourth suspect. Both suspect vehicles were described as newer silver colored sedans with paper plates. All four suspects were African American male adults.

Elk Grove Laguna News confirmed with a source that the truck was a UPS delivery van.
