Road closures impacting traffic on Sheldon & Waterman over the next 3 weeks

Commuters will have to deal with road closures and detours over the next 3 weeks if you use the roundabout at Sheldon and Waterman Roads. The landscaping for the roundabout is scheduled to be installed. Closures will be in effect from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm on portions of Sheldon and Waterman entering the roundabout. Check the schedule to find which sections will be closed. Use Elk Grove-Florin and Bradshaw to travel north and south and Bond and Calvine to travel east and west.

The Public Works Department has approved a series of temporary road closure impacting roads around the Sheldon and Waterman Roundabout beginning on Monday, April 15.

Increased Travel Times & Detours: Work is scheduled from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm during these closures. Elk Grove Florin and Bradshaw Roads are recommended alternative routes for all through traffic during the morning and afternoon commute periods during the closure. Only local traffic will be allowed through.

Construction Activities: Crews will be working on landscaping and irrigation in the median islands and inside the center of the roundabout.

Schedule of Closures:

Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19:  Waterman Road between Bond and Sheldon Roads from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. *Map shown below

Monday, April 22 through Friday, April 26:  Waterman Road between Sheldon and Calvine Roads from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Monday, April 29 through Friday, May 3:  Sheldon Road between Waterman and Bradshaw Roads from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Monday, April 29 through Friday, May 3:  Sheldon Road between Elk Grove-Florin and Waterman Roads from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
