Officers responded to a call for service regarding S-1 (Elk Grove resident) passed out in a parked vehicle (engine off) with a child sitting a child seat for a period of time. The child was sweating and crying. The vehicle was in direct sunlight and the temperature outside at time was 84 degrees. S-1 was contacted and displayed objective signs of being under the influence. A search incident to arrest of S-1’s person led to the discovery of narcotic paraphernalia. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.
