Officers responded to a call for service regarding S-1 (Sacramento resident) shoplifting. S-1 was located a short distance away by responding officers and detained. S-1 was found to be in possession of the stolen merchandise. S-1 was arrested, issued a citation and released.

Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
