NIGHT WATCH

Charges: PC 148 (A)(1), 1203.2 (A)
Location: 8800 block of Wheelton Rd.
Suspect: KIM, STEVEN (AMA, 30, ARRESTED)

Officers responded to a call for service regarding S-1 (Sacramento resident) acting suspiciously in the area. Officers arrived and located S-1 hiding near a side yard of a residence. S-1 refused to follow the officers’ commands and attempted to run from the officers. Officers were able to prevent S-1 from running, however, S-1 physically resisted the officers. Officers were able to overcome S-1’s resistance and detained him. A record check revealed S-1 was on probation. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was arrested for public intoxication and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect #1: WILLIAMS, RASHAWNDA (BFA, 23, ARRESTED)
Suspect #2: WILLIAMS, CHANTEL (BFA, 28, ARRESTED)

S-1 and S-2 (Sacramento resident) were detained by store loss prevention for shoplifting. S-2 provided officers with a false name. Officers learned S-2’s true identity and conducted a record check on both suspects. The record check revealed both suspects had active warrants out for their arrest. Both suspects were arrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Sacramento resident) was riding a bicycle and stopped for a vehicle code violation. A record check revealed S-1 was on probation. A probation search of S-1’s property led to the discovery of narcotic paraphernalia. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
