S-1 (Sacramento resident) was the driver of a motor vehicle involved in a solo vehicle collision. Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment. S-1 did not have permission to drive V-1’s vehicle. S-1 was taken into custody and transported to juvenile hall.

A probation search of S-1’s person led to the discovery of a credit card in someone else’s name. A probation search of S-2’s person led to the discovery of methamphetamine. Both suspects were arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Officers responded to a call regarding a possible impaired driver. Responding officers located the vehicle and stopped it for vehicle code violations. Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment and an open container of alcohol was observed in the vehicle. S-1 performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested.

Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
