Sacramento man arrested for carjacking, domestic violence, endangering the lives of children

On Sunday evening, Elk Grove police arrested a Sacramento man on several charges.

According to the EGPD Daily Watch Summary, the man, 37 year old Leonardo Ledesma, was involved in a verbal argument with another person, and two children were also in the car. Ledesma grabbed the victim’s hair and pushed the victim out of the vehicle. As the victim tried to unbuckle the two children, Ledesma drove away at a high rate of speed and collided with another vehicle.

During the collision, the two children fell out of the vehicle. One of the children was injured. Ledesma then fled the scene in the vehicle. He was later apprehended by another law enforcement agency. A records check revealed Ledesma was on parole. He is currently being held at the county jail.
