Three teens arrested for assault and robbery Wednesday afternoon

Three teens were arrested and one remains on the loose after a robbery and assault on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident happened around 5 pm near Ravenna Way and Trapani Way. A teenage victim was walking alone when he was approached by four teens. The victim was punched several times and thrown to the ground, suffering visible injuries. Then he was held down and his shoes were stolen. A relative posted on the Elk Grove Laguna Forums Facebook page giving more information.

Suspect #4: JUVENILE (WMJ, 16, ARRESTED)

Elk Grove police arrived and located and arrested three of the suspects.

From the Daily Watch Summary:

V-1 was walking in the above area when he was approached S-1, S-2, and S-3. S-1 pushed V-1 and then all three suspects punched V-1 in the face and body. S-2 slammed V-1 to the ground and S-4 held V-1 down while S-1 removed V-1’s property. V-1 sustained visible injuries. All four suspects fled on foot. Officers later located three subjects, matching the description of the suspects, walking in area not far from the incident. All three suspects (Elk Grove residents) were detained. S-2 refused to identify himself. Officers were able to identify S-2 and a record check revealed S-2 to be on probation and had an active warrant out for his arrest. Based on the investigation, all three suspects were taken into custody and transported to juvenile hall. S-3 was not located. S-3 was described as an African American male juvenile, wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
