Suspect:  HONG, AMBER (WFA, 55, ARRESTED)

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation when S-1 struck V-1 in the head with a bowling pin. V-1 sustained visible injuries. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Rancho Cordova resident) was observed shoplifting and confronted by a store employee in the parking lot. After handing over the stolen merchandise, S-1 got into her vehicle and drove at a high rate of speed in the direction of the employees. Everyone was able to get out of the way of the vehicle. S-1 fled in her vehicle but was located by responding officers. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was contacted during a call for service and known to be on probation. As officers approached S-1, S-1 discarded methamphetamine. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Sacramento resident) was arrested for an active warrant and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect #2: JUVENILE (WMJ, 16, ARRESTED)

S-1 was the driver and S-2 was the passenger (Elk Grove residents) of a motor vehicle stopped for a vehicle code violation. A record check revealed S-2 was on probation. A probation search of the vehicle led to the discovery of ammunition. Officers conducted a follow up search of S-2’s bedroom and located a loaded firearm with a high capacity magazine. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail. S-2 was taken into custody and transported to juvenile hall.

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
