Friday morning around 6:00 am in the area of School Street and Rancho Drive, a homeowner who was sleeping, woke up when noises were heard inside the home. The homeowner got up and found a female inside the residence. The female suspect left the residence and was seen leaving with a male, who was standing in the driveway holding some of the victim’s property.

Responding officers arrived in the area and located both suspects, who were identified as 36-year-old Morgan Kidwell and 37-year-old Kristin Toomey both of Sacramento. A record check revealed both suspects were on probation and had active warrants out for their arrest. The suspects were found in possession of the victim’s property and burglary tools.

Both suspects were arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Kidwell was identified by detectives as the suspect in an attempted burglary of a residence on June 16th that occurred in the same area and was captured on surveillance video (photos below). Detectives arrested Kidwell for attempted burglary and violation of probation related to the June 16th incident.
