Officers responded to a hit and run collision involving a parked vehicle. S-1 and S-2 (Elk Grove residents) were observed by witnesses running from the scene. A record check of the suspect vehicle’s license plate revealed the vehicle was a reported stolen vehicle. Responding officers located and detained both suspects. Both suspects were taken into custody and then transported to juvenile hall.

S-1 (Lakeport resident) was the driver and S-2 (Elk Grove resident) was the passenger in a motor vehicle stopped for a vehicle code violation. A record check revealed S-2 was on probation and had active warrants out for his arrest. A search of the vehicle and S-1’s property led to the discovery of methamphetamine. S-1 was arrested, issued a citation and released. S-2 was arrested for his active warrants and then transported to the main jail.
