Sacramento Sheriff’s Department investigating shooting in South Sac that injured two people

The Sacramento Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting that took place around 1 pm near the intersection of Florin Road and Stockton Blvd.

There was a call to 911 with reports of gunshots. The caller’s car was hit by bullets and they reported several cars were fleeing the area. No one in the caller’s car was injured. Deputies received an updated location that the shooting took place near Stockton Blvd and 65th Street. Shell casings were found at the scene.

At around 1:20 pm, the Sacramento Police Department reported there were two victims at the Kaiser South Hospital with gunshot wounds. Detectives are investigating the shooting.
