Elk Grove Police asking for public’s help identifying gas station robber

The Elk Grove Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a man that robbed the Chevron gas station on July 23.

The incident happened at 8487 Elk Grove Florin Road. The suspect demanded cash from the register while holding his hand in his sweatshirt pocket, giving the impression he had a gun. The suspect took the cash and fled the scene in a silver newer model Jeep Cherokee or Grand Cherokee. Prior to the robbery the silver Jeep was captured by the surveillance video circulating the parking lot.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Investigations Bureau at (916) 478-8060 or Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357). Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00. Tips can also be sent via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on a cell phone, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message.
