Three people detained in homicide investigation near Walnut Grove

The Sacramento Sheriff’s Department has detained three people in connection with a homicide investigation in Walnut Grove.

Deputies responded to a report of a burn victim around 8 am in the 14600 block of Isleton Road. Deputies arrives to find a shed that had burned and a male burn victim a short distance away. The 28 year old victim was transported to the hospital where he later died of his injuries. Investigators believed the man was intentionally set on fire. A pickup was found a short distance away that detectives believed was connected to the homicide.

Earlier this evening the Sheriff’s Department announced they has detained three people and that they didn’t believe anyone was outstanding. No motive is known at this time.
