Elk Grove Police investigating two robbery incidents on Sunday afternoon

The Elk Grove Police Department is investigating two unrelated robbery incidents on Sunday afternoon.

The first incident happened around 4:30 pm near the intersection of Power Inn and Vista Brook. The victim was walking and was approached by three suspects. The suspects tried to take the victim’s personal property, and two suspects punched the victim. The victim was able to fight the suspects off, who then fled on foot.

All three suspects were described as African American juveniles. Suspect #1 was wearing a black shirt and jeans. Suspect #2 was wearing black shorts and a white t-shirt. Suspect #3 was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

The second incident happened 6:15 pm. A man was at the register at the CVS store located at 8585 Elk Grove Blvd. As the man was getting ready to pay, he grabbed the cashier’s arm and moved it away and then took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register. The suspect then fled the store. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate him. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male adult, wearing gray hat, black shorts and shirt.
