Old Town Elk Grove Leaving the lights On

Elk Grove Chamber’s Leadership Elk Grove Class of 2019 partners with Old Town Elk Grove Foundation to produce the 2019 Tree lighting ceremony as It’s 2019 Community Project

The Chamber Leadership group announced in April that they have chosen to partner with the Old Town Elk Grove Foundation to enhance the tree lighting ceremony and holiday décor in the Old Town corridor.

With the loss of the beloved light parade in Old Town, the group was determined to make the remaining traditions even better than ever.“While we were saddened to lose the parade in Old Town, we are very excited about the new opportunities available.” stated the Old Town Foundation’s President, Angela Perry.“The Leadership Group has presented several fun and innovative ideas to enhance the holiday feel in Old Town and the tree lighting ceremony including performances and a new tree and other decorations throughout the district and we are so excited to see the final product.”

The Dickens Faire will take place on November 30th from 10 am to 5 pm with the Tree lighting ceremony following from 5 pm to 6:30 pm. We will enjoy performances by Elk Grove’s Teen Idol, Carly Rhoades, and others and have cookies and cocoa with the one and only Jolly Saint Nick himself. The finale will take place at 6:00 pm Santa will light the new and improved Old Town Christmas tree.

The Old Town Elk Grove Foundation works to preserve the history and aesthetics of the area and promote it as a destination where families can enjoy events, shopping and the history of our fair City.
