Two killed in crash on Jackson Highway near Sloughhouse
Two people were killed late this morning in a head-on collision on Highway 16 near Sloughhouse.
The accident happened around 11 am on Jackson Highway between Dillard and Sloughhouse Road. According to the CHP, the driver of a Honda CRV was traveling westbound when it crossed over into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a flatbed truck. The driver and passenger of the Honda were killed in the collision.
The road was closed in both directions for cleanup and traffic investigation. No ETA on when it will re-open.
