Location: CONFIDENTIAL

Victim: CONFIDENTIAL

Suspect: CARDOZA, JOHN (WMA, 35, ARRESTED)

S-1 (Tracy resident) and V-1 were involved in verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation when S-1 forcibly took V-1’s car keys, pushed V-1 to the ground and kicked V-1 in the side. S-1 then left in V-1’s vehicle. S-1 was later located, arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Location: Elk Grove Blvd. / E. Park Dr.

Suspect: LOCKWOOD, COLTON (WMA, 18, ARRESTED)

S-1 (Wilton resident) was the driver of a motor vehicle involved in a solo vehicle collision. One of S-1’s passengers sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment. S-1 performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested. A search incident to arrest led to the discovery of a fictitious California driver’s license. S-1 was transported to the main jail.

Location: 7500 block of Laguna Blvd.

Victim: TARGET

Suspect: HARRIS BYERS, LACRECIA (BFA, 42, ARRESTED)

S-1 (Sacramento resident) was observed shoplifting and store loss prevention attempted to detain S-1. S-1 then bit the store loss prevention officer which caused the loss prevention officer to release S-1 out of fear and pain. S-1 got into an awaiting vehicle and drove away. Responding officers located the vehicle driving away and stopped it. S-1 was detained and a record check revealed S-1 was on probation. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were involved in verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation when S-1 grabbed V-1 by the neck and then pushed V-1 around by the neck. S-1 then struck V-1’s head on a doorframe which caused visible injuries. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail. V-1 was granted an emergency protective order against S-1.

S-1 (Sacramento resident) and V-1 were involved in verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation when S-1 pulled V-1’s hair and choked V-1. V-1 fell to the ground and S-1 kicked V-1 in the back. V-1 tried to hide under a table but S-1 grabbed V-1’s ankles, pulled V-1 out from underneath the table and punched V-1 in the face several times. V-1 sustained visible injuries. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail. V-1 was granted an emergency protective order against S-1.

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
