Location: 3500 block of W. Island Ct.

Suspect: BOYCE, SHARNA (BFA, 25, ARRESTED)

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was contacted during a call for service. A record check revealed S-1 had active warrants out for her arrest. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect: SPRINGER, DAVID (WMA, 48, ARRESTED)

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was the driver of a motor vehicle involved in a collision with another vehicle. Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment. S-1 performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested.

Location: 8700 block of Elk Grove Blvd.

Suspect: JOHNSON, DARQUELL (BMA, 27, ARRESTED)

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was arrested trespassing, issued a citation and released.

Charges: PC 459.5, HS 11377 (A), 11350 (A), WARRANT

Location: 9100 block of W. Stockton Blvd.

Victim: HOME DEPOT

Suspect #1: ARAVE, AARON (WMA, 31, ARRESTED)

Suspect #2: BURNS, AMY (WFA, 37, ARRESTED)

S-1 and S-2 (Sacramento residents) were detained for shoplifting. A record check revealed both suspects had active warrants out for their arrest. A search of S-1’s person led to the discovery of methamphetamine and heroin. S-2 was found to be in possession of stolen merchandise. Both suspects were arrested and then transported to the main jail.

 

Crime Tips Via Text Messaging through “TipSoft”

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
