The Sacramento Sheriff’s Department announced today that three people have been arrested in connection with a homicide that occurred on July 18. In that incident, an 18-year-old man, Timothy McGinnis, was shot and killed while driving in Sacramento County. Detectives believe robbery was the primary motive.
Deputies had responded to a call for shooting and located an SUV that had crashed into a power pole on Andalusian Drive. McGinnis was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other males that were in the vehicle said that McGinnis was shot before crashing the vehicle.
Arrested were Jorge Vasquez (23) of Sacramento and Roberto Ferrusca (19) of Sacramento, who were booked into the county jail and a 17 year old female that was booked into a juvenile hall. The two adult males are being held without bail
