Location: Freesia Dr. / Sheldon Rd.
Suspect #1: TROTTER, KEVIN (HMA, 18, ARRESTED)
Suspect #2: WARD, OSCAR (BMA, 19, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was the driver and S-2 (Elk Grove resident) was the passenger in a motor vehicle stopped for a vehicle code violation. A probable cause search of the vehicle led to the discoveryof unregistered, loaded firearm, marijuana, and indicia related to marijuana sales. S-2 was arrested for possession of marijuana (HS 11357), issued a citation and released. S-1 was arrested for the firearm and marijuana sales related charges and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect: STONE, GRANT (WMA, 28, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was the driver of a motor vehicle involved in a solo vehicle collision. Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of being impaired. A record check revealed S-1 had an active warrant out for his arrest. A search of S-1’s vehicle led to the discovery of prescription medication. S-1 performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested.

S-1 (Sacramento resident) was observed in the above area and known to have active warrants out for his arrest. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect #1: WIGGINTON, ALEC (WMA, 27, ARRESTED)
Suspect #2: RAPELJE, ASHLEY (WFA, 34, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was known to be on probation. Officers conducted a probation search where S-1 was living. S-2 (Elk Grove resident) was also contacted at the location. A record check revealed S-1 was in violation of a protective order and had an active warrant out for his arrest. S-2 had an active warrant out for her arrest as well. S-1 displayed objective signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance. A probation search of S-1 and S-2’s room led to the discovery of narcotic paraphernalia. Both suspects were arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
