Safewise ranks the safest cities in California, Elk Grove comes in at 120
The website Safewise released its list of the safest cities in California. Elk Grove came in at #120 on the list. The rankings were based on the number of violent crimes per 1000 people.
The safest city? Danville with 0.35 violent crimes per 1000 people. Elk Grove had 3.24 violent crimes per 1000 people. Elk Grove’s property crime rate of just over 13 per 1000 people would have placed it in the safest 25 cities.
Four cities in our area made the top 50, including Folsom at #8, Lincoln at #13, Rocklin at #16 and Davis at # 33. Roseville ranked #57 on the list.
