Elk Grove police bust illegal marijuana grow with nearly 1400 plants

On Thursday morning the Elk Grove Police Department Street Crimes Unit arrested two people in connection with an illegal marijuana growing operation.  

The arrests took place around 7 am in the 8900 block of Mooney Road. 1380 plants were confiscated. Arrested were Armando Tapia, 32, and Leily Urizar, 24, both of Elk Grove. 

Charges against Tapia & Urizar
