Fill the Need, Feed the Hope

Elk Grove Food Bank Services will begin collecting turkeys and holiday trimmings on Tuesday, November 12 through November 22. Help the Food Bank reach their goal of 1,000 turkeys. Donations can be dropped off at the Elk Grove Food Bank during regular business hours, Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to Noon. Turkey distribution will take place on Saturday, November 23 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at City Hall (8401 Laguna Palms Way). Before You Gobble… Register for Elk Grove’s Thanksgiving Fun Run

Before gobbling up your Thanksgiving feast, run, walk, or wobble your way to the finish line of the Elk Grove Gobble Wobble on Thanksgiving morning. This family-friendly event benefits Chicks in Crisis, an Elk Grove non-profit offering pregnancy, parenting, adoption, and educational services. Become Part of the Holiday Lights Parade!

The annual tradition of parading your cars, bikes, strollers, and apparel decked out with festive lights is back—in an all-new location! The Holiday Parade of Lights will debut at its new location at District56, as part of the Illumination Holiday Festival, on Saturday, December 7 at 6 p.m. Your family can be part of this magical event. Light up your bike, stroller, car, or create a float and enter it in the parade. There is no cost to enter. Entry forms are available online at www.elkgrovecommunitycouncil.org.Submit your entry by November 30.
